Harris Tea Company Takes Warehouse Live in 40 Days
America's largest tea blender automates its Morristown, NJ distribution center using the Tycan^® implementation plan

BEVERLY HILLS, CA - September 19, 2005 - Harris Tea Company, the largest blender and packer of private label teas in North America, has completed an implementation of Motek’s Windows-based Priya^® warehouse software in its Moorestown, NJ distribution center.

Motek Project Manger Coreen McCorkendale said, “The Harris Tea implementation went live forty days after the customer signed the contract and did not require overtime."

Harris Tea Company used Tycan, Motek’s proprietary implementation plan, to achieve this goal. Tycan incorporates Motek’s ten-plus years of warehouse software project management experience into a clearly defined twenty-two-step “cookbook” style process. Tycan also uses a web-based tool to communicate project deliverables and their status in real time. Once an initial site goes live, Motek's customers use Tycan to install Priya on their own in their remaining facilities.

Based on the success of the first implementation, Meetesh Shah, Chief Information Officer at Harris Tea Company said, “We intend to use Tycan to install Priya in two other facilities next year.”
