MOTEK HONORED AS ERNST & YOUNG ENTREPRENEUR OF THE YEAR FINALIST
Sophisticated Implementation Technology Assists In Getting Multiple Warehouses Up To Speed In Less Than 45 Days

BEVERLY HILLS, CA (June 14, 1002) - Motek’s CEO was honored as an Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year finalist in Los Angeles today. For the past 16 years, Ernst & Young has celebrated the accomplishments of outstanding entrepreneurs worldwide in this program.

Motek’s CEO, Ann Price, credits her entrepreneurial achievements to her drive to improve people’s lives by positively changing the way they work. “As we keep putting computers on forklifts, we walk away with the satisfaction of knowing that we’ve improved working conditions for thousands, increased our customers’ bottom line and helped millions of people get their orders processed faster and more accurately,” says Price.

Through the Entrepreneur of the Year Awards, Ernst & Young recognizes individuals whose entrepreneurial spirit has spurred the development of new technologies, the creation of faster solutions, and an enrichment of the quality of life of others. To qualify for the Entrepreneur of the Year Awards program, entrepreneurs must be an owner/manager primarily responsible for the recent performance of a company that is at least two years old. Individuals who have made an outstanding contribution to the entrepreneurial spirit or have helped an entrepreneur become successful through business, economic or academic means are eligible.

At the Los Angeles awards ceremony, Tony Anderson, Pacific Southwest Area Managing Partner at Ernst & Young said of the award finalists, “At their core, entrepreneurs are inventors. They invent incredible devices, wonderful services, and sometimes entirely new industries. They are by nature creators and builders. Entrepreneurs adapt. When the world changes, when the rules shift, entrepreneurs are the first to come up with new methods, new tools and new attitudes. Above all, entrepreneurs never quit.”

Award finalists are selected in several categories in each of 46 different regions by an independent panel of judges from local business, financial, academic and media sectors. Each year winners are honored at regional award banquets held in June.
