As CEO of the British Virgin Islands’ largest retail grocery and wholesale food distributor, Delma recognized that paper-based accounting, order entry and warehousing systems limited her organization’s growth. Starting from the ground up, Delma modernized the company's IT infrastructure and systems, making it the first in the Caribbean to deploy wireless RF warehouse technology. This gutsy decision transformed them into one of the most technologically advanced distributors in the region. Delma's investment secured the company's place as one of the island’s largest employers. Recognizing her innovative use of technology, Bill Gates awarded the company the prestigious Microsoft Pinnacle Award.
