Motek's Priya Windows/SQL Server based WMS is in full production at Super Store Industries, Inc.(SSI), a large West Coast 3rd party grocery and wholesale food distribution center that supports the Raleys and Savemart grocery chains.

SSI runs 24x7 with over 170 concurrent users including 130 RF users. The facility is composed of 700,000 ft² of racked dry grocery, and 150,000 ft² of racked freezer. The facility picks over 1 million cases per week plus Each picks, averaging 260,000 picks per day on 200,000 order lines per day with 15,000 SKUs in a 24x7 environment. RF support includes 10 handheld, 50 forklift and 95 Voice Picking RF units. Priya’s Fixed Routing module supports over 300 routes per day with 1-2 stops per route. Priya runs 24x7 with on-line backups and data purges.

The customer is very pleased with Priya and the Windows/SQL Server platform. Hardware and operating system/database costs are 1/3 of what a redundant UNIX or AS/400 system capable of handling their transaction volumes were going to run them (They use the AS/400 as their host business system and Priya interfaces to it in real-time).

After one year in production, this site has realized a 23% improvement in pick productivity, a 26% improvement in putaway/replenishment moves per hour, and a reduction in the pick error rate from 1 in 300 to 1 in 2,500.
