BEVERLY HILLS, CA – March 13, 2007 – Tony Leis, Supply Chain Manager for Kozy Shack^® Enterprises, Inc. a leading manufacturer of refrigerated dairy desserts, was awarded one of Kozy Shack’s highest honors, the Leadership Award, for his successful management of the implementation of Motek’s Windows-based Priya^® Warehouse Management System (WMS).  The new inventory management software was deployed in the company’s New York and California warehouses and manufacturing facilities.

“Tony earned this award by successfully leading the first large scale, multi stakeholder systems project in Kozy Shack history,” said Kozy Shack IT Director, Richard Lehan.  “The powerful collaboration Tony created helped deliver a rapid and successful implementation.”

Kozy Shack is using Priya® to automate its production and warehouse operations.  Using Priya allows Kozy Shack to improve the accuracy of its production process, track and manage inventory between its two United States facilities, and improve productivity; all key elements of the company’s growth strategy. 

“Tony inspired warehouse workers to quickly embrace the new Priya technology being deployed in California and New York.  This rapid user acceptance enabled Kozy Shack to accurately track inventory nationwide,” said Dawn Stramer, Project Manager for Motek.

Priya is a highly configurable WMS solution, which can be reconfigured by the user to accommodate changes in business processes or changing customer requirements.  This "packaged" solution can be implemented in a fraction of the time of other systems, and features both handheld and voice technology as standard features.  Priya is the only full-featured, Microsoft Windows-based solution available that supports more than 400 concurrent mobile users.  This kind of throughput was previously limited to more expensive AS400 and UNIX-based systems running custom or vendor-configured code and operating on significantly more expensive hardware platforms.

BEVERLY HILLS, CA – September 6, 2006 – Kozy Shack^® Enterprises, Inc., a leading manufacturer of refrigerated dairy desserts, has increased productivity in its New York and California production facilities by a combined 25% and significantly improved inventory tracking using Motek’s Windows-based Priya^® Warehouse Management Software (WMS). 

In 1995 Kozy Shack Enterprises added a new manufacturing facility in California in response to growing, nationwide demand for its high quality puddings and other dessert products among both retail and foodservice facilities.  Yet a lack of automation limited growth and prevented the company from taking full advantage of its bi-coastal manufacturing capabilities. 

“We realized that to manage our current demand and prepare for national expansion, we had to automate our facilities as quickly as possible with robust inventory management software that supported both production and 3PL distribution,” said Tony Leis, Supply Chain Manager at Kozy Shack.  “Only Priya offered the breadth and depth of capabilities as standard features that allows us to meticulously manage inventory and ship product based on real-time inventory and order information.” 

Using Priya, Kozy Shack increased efficiency and productivity in its manufacturing, a process that requires a minimum of three pick and ship waves: the raw product, cups and lids, and final packaging.  Kozy Shack relies on Priya to track and manage both gross lots of inventory, such as 1,000 pound bags of sugar as well as increments like smaller, pre-measured amounts of sugar, as they are picked and moved on pallets for use in production.  Once the desserts are packaged, the WMS directs the loaded pallets to refrigerated warehouses, maximizing the use of space and picking products for distribution to ensure fresh inventory based on date codes.

 With Priya, Kozy Shack has significantly reduced product loss due to short code or spoilage. “Kozy Shack needed a comprehensive, scalable supply chain management system in order for their business to meet demand and continue growing,” said Motek Service Director Dawn Stramer.  “Priya gives them the data they need now to streamline and improve their operations to meet surging demand for their products.
