VISIONARY USE OF TECHNOLOGY RAISES THE BAR ON ACCOUNTABILITY IN THE BEER INDUSTRY

BEVERLY HILLS, CA – June 19, 2007 – Euclid Beverage, a major Miller Brewing Company distributor in suburban Chicago, set a new standard in warehouse distribution using EDI systems and Advanced Shipment Notification (ASN) using Motek’s Windows®-based Priya® Warehouse Management System (WMS). This visionary use of technology redefines the way distributors account for product and interact with vendors and customers. By automating inbound and outbound processes, leveraging voice technology, and integrating systems with Priya, Euclid Beverage has achieved 99.9% inventory accuracy and reduced load back times by 50%.

Using Priya, Euclid Beverage partnered with Miller to pilot an ASN and EDI process that is now a mandatory requirement all Miller distributors must meet by June 2008. Through the WMS, Euclid Beverage transmits an ASN detailing the shipment, including add-ons, to their customer as the truck leaves the warehouse. This paperless system speeds receiving and increases accuracy. When trucks return, Priya micromanages the inventory load back process, tallying every return, damaged or undeliverable product in real time, giving the company 100% accountability on load backs.
Euclid Beverage maximizes Priya throughout its operation, using it to manage 500+ SKUs, cycle counts, and dunnage, and to repackage products. “Priya helps us control our inventory, improve picking accuracy, and handle a rapidly growing number of SKUs, all with little training,” said Dan Roschman, Euclid Beverage warehouse manager.

Miller Brewing Company distributor says it’s ‘Motek Time’ when it comes to tracking inventory and improving warehouse efficiency.

BEVERLY HILLS, CA – January 30, 2007 – Euclid Beverage, a major distributor for Miller Brewing Company in suburban Chicago, is shaking up the beverage distribution industry as one of the first to standardize on voice picking technology from Motek to streamline operations, increase inventory accuracy to 100%, and improve worker efficiency.  Euclid Beverage selected Motek’s Windows^®-based Priya^® Warehouse Management System (WMS) to automate its 200,000 SF warehouse facility outside Chicago in order to increase inventory accuracy and reduce picking errors for expensive products.

Euclid Beverage provides the full range of Miller products to local pubs and massive warehouse stores throughout Illinois.  As the company grew, it realized that simplifying and automating processes would drive efficiency, reduce costs, and eliminate spoilage – all critical factors for continued growth and the ability to add new product lines.
