ASSOCIATED GROCERS OF FLORIDA GOES TO THE SUPERMARKET WITH MOTEK
GROCERY COOPERATIVE SELECTS PRIYA WAREHOUSE SOFTWARE TO SUPPORT CONTINUED INNOVATION

Seattle, WA—NOVEMBER 20, 2005 —April 1, 2003 - Associated Grocers of Florida selected Motek's Priya warehouse management software to support the grocery cooperative's innovation and rapid expansion in the domestic and international grocery markets. Associated Grocers wanted real-time warehouse software that will enable its two distribution centers totaling 1.5 million square feet to decrease spoilage through date and expiration control, reduce shrinkage on the docks, and increase service levels to its 700 domestic customers and its international customers in over 40 countries.

 Mel Levine, Programming Manager for Associated Grocers, stated, "Of all the WMS products that we looked at, Motek's warehouse system was the most specific to our industry. Motek's demonstrated success in the grocery industry and its solution's ability to handle catch weights and dating out of the box were central to our decision to select Motek." Associated Grocers will rely on Priya to confirm shipments, eliminate picking errors, generate accurate invoices, and produce an audit trail for every pallet exported. With Motek's solution, Associated Grocers will be able to achieve 99.9% inventory accuracy.

Motek's VP of Sales, Dan Waters, said, "Priya's built-in flexibility will allow Associated Grocers to adapt the software to fit its complex business and operating model." Mel Levine added that, "Picking will no longer be based on first in first out, but rather will depend on best date available. This is critical to cutting costs and improving service on the export side, since each country has unique date control requirements. Based on the country code, Motek's system will know the best date to pick from and will direct operators to the appropriate lot." Motek's warehouse solution will provide the technology foundation needed to sustain Associated Grocer"s innovation and rapid growth.
